Prescription Drug Plan

A prescription drug plan is provided with all the above medical insurances. The BCIU uses Caremark  http://www.caremark.com/  as its prescription insurance provider for mail-order prescription services and FutureScripts for pharmacy pickup. Caremark members can look up pricing, see a summary of the plan benefits, locate a pharmacy, look up information about drugs, download forms and order prescription refills online from their secure web site: http://www.caremark.com/wps/portal

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance for BCIU employees is provided by Delta Dental of Pennsylvania. Employees can learn more about their plan, download forms or search for a plan dentist on the Delta Dental member web site: http://www2.midatlanticdeltadental.com/enrollee/index.html

Vision Plan

* (PC Plans) - IBC Vision for employees of the BCIU.

* (Keystone PoS) - Davis Vision provides vision insurance for employees of the BCIU. Their member web site at: http://www.ibx.com

Allows you search for participating doctors or optical stores, download claim forms, review plan benefits and provides general eye care information.

Income Protection (Disability Insurance)

Optional disability insurance is provided by Reliastar Life Insurance (an ing-usa company) which is serviced by National Insurance Services .

Life Insurance is provided by the Assurant Insurance Company.

Medical Flex Spending and Dependent Care Flex Spending Reimbursement Accounts are tax-deferred savings accounts that can be used only for their stated purposes.  These accounts are funded through pre-tax payroll deductions. Our plan administrator is Kades Marglis / Security Benefits.

Membership in the Pensylvania Public Schools Employees Retirement System (PSERS) is mandatory for employees who work at least 20 hours per week or 500 hours in a school year.

Tax Sheltered 403(b) Annuity Providers

The BCIU offers its employees the option to fund Tax Sheltered 403(b) Annuity accounts directly through payroll deductions. These accounts are administered by Karen Shores, our payroll supervisor.
