IDS 2008 Shipping Survey
The IDS shipping survey is now complete! In April 2008, IDS surveyed member library directors and IDS contacts, soliciting their feedback on whether IDS members should be allowed to ship via IDS to non-member libraries in Pennsylvania. The survey was sent to some 350 contacts; 212 contacts responded with 185 completing the survey. More than 71% voted of the respondents voted in favor of the proposal.
 
The IDS Planning Committee will next begin a pilot project to determine the feasibility of the proposal. Those respondents expressing interest in the pilot project will be contacted this summer; the pilot project is scheduled to take place during fall 2008.
