Non-Public Services
To support the mission of the BCIU, the Non-Public division strives to ensure optimal student growth through collaborative initiative, design and delivery of exemplary services.
At this time, more than 140 nonpublic schools in Bucks County are eligible to receive services for their students, and over 18,300 students in nonpublic schools benefit annually from these services.

District Operated Programs

Transportation (1972) - Act 372 authorizes any school district to provide free transportation to any resident pupil to and from school provided that such school is located not more than 10 miles outside the district boundaries by the nearest public highway.

Health Services - Section 1402 of the School Code of Pennsylvania requires that school districts provide health services to children of school age which includes a vision test, hearing test, a measurement of height and weight, a tuberculosis test and such other medical tests as the State Advisory Health Board deems advisable. Every child of school age shall be provided with school nurse services.
