A core mission of the Intermediate Units in Pennsylvania is to provide both Intermediate Unit staff and constituent districts with high quality, sustained, job-embedded professional development. The Professional Education Department specializes in providing educators, administrators, and parents with a wealth of opportunities to grow both personally and professionally in order to enhance our students’ achievement. As professional development has transitioned from a one-shot auditorium approach, we have heightened the importance of ongoing, meaningful professional development.
