The Pennsylvania Department of Education will no longer accept Social Security numbers after a certain date in order to record and track all Act 48 hours. As a result, the Department has issued each person within the state with a Professional Personal ID (PPID) number. This identification will be utilized in order to track your own Act 48 hours on the PDE website. In addition, this number will be utilized by all Act 48 Providers for registration and tracking purposes.
