The Gifted Support Program enriches and augments regular curricula in order to meet the educational needs of academically gifted students. Two types of programs accomplish this task: 1) special
interest/enrichment programs enable students to develop individual talents and interests and, 2) content area classes enable students to attend a special class in lieu of receiving instruction in the subject areas
of reading, social studies or language arts.
Maximum Class Size: State Regulations and Standards Elementary and Secondary: 15-75.
Instruction Assistants: None
Students are instructed in the following areas: State mandated curricula, integrated district curricula, critical thinking problem solving, and higher order thinking skills.
