The Bucks County Schools Intermediate Unit provides a variety of high quality instructional programs and support services that assist the 13 local districts in fulfilling their obligation to meet the needs of students with disabilities. A professional staff of specialists works with students, parents, and school district personnel to assure the optimal development of each learner.

Psychological Services

 

 

School psychology services include psycho-educational evaluation, Functional Behavior Assessment, consultative, direct intervention and counseling service for students enrolled in regular and special education classes in school district and intermediate unit programs.  Services are provided by educational specialists who hold PDE certification as a Certified School Psychologist.  Services include the writing of the comprehensive evaluation report, recommendations for individual special educational program planning, direct related psychological services, and behavioral plans and interventions as necessary.

 

The Primary Goal is to: Provide psycho-educational evaluation and consultation services to students who are thought to have special educational needs and  mandated re-evaluation of students in existing special educational programs.

 

 

Related Services are included in the basic program.
