The Bucks County Schools Intermediate Unit Speech/Language Program provides speech/language services to over 4,300 school age pupils. Communicatively disabled students of all exceptionalities and those pupils in
regular education classes with speech or language handicaps are reflected in the students being served. The Speech/Language Program is integrated with district and other Intermediate Unit education programs,
such as IST, as well as being responsible for a comprehensive therapy program involving language, voice, fluency, and phonological disorders. Our services comprise pre-referral consultation, assessment and
diagnosis, development and maintenance of an on-going instructional program.
Maximum Caseload: Not to exceed 65 students (Based on PA Regulations and Standards)
Students are instructed in the following areas: All types of speech/language disorders involving language, voice, fluency, and phonological deficits.
