Classes serve students with specific learning/language disabilities whose needs cannot be met in local school district learning support classes. These classes emphasize receptive and expressive language and
basic academic skills instruction. A speech and language therapist works closely with the teachers of these classes and provides therapy to the pupils enrolled in the classes.
Maximum Class Size: State Regulations and Standards Elementary: 6-12 & Secondary: 8-15
Instructional Assistants: Provided for each classroom
Students are instructed in the following areas: Language, reading, writing skills, mathematics, social studies, science, study skills, computer literacy and practical living.
