The Bucks County Internet Cooperative provides Internet access, web
hosting, e-mail hosting, internet dialup and wide area network
management for the IU itself and several other school entities in Bucks
County. (Bristol Borough School District,
Bristol Township School District,
Pennridge School District and
The Bucks County Alternative School)
This is a map of the Bucks County Schools Internet Cooperative network, it shows each partner and all major connections but has been simplified somewhat for ease of reading. The Map shows realtime
status of the Internet Cooperative Network. To refresh the status, refresh this page in your web browser.
The rectangular boxes on the chart, and the cloud icon at the top represent network routers and servers. If the box is green, the device it represents has reported its status as OK in the last 60 seconds. If the
box is dark orange the device is reporting an alarm situation of some sort but is still running. If the box or cloud are red the device has not responded to queries about its status for over two minutes and is
assumed to be down. (on some systems, in some web browsers, it is hard to tell the alarm state from the down state since the orange and the RED end up looking very similar.) Lastly, if the box or cloud is
blue, the device it represents is down and a network admin has acknowledged the outage and is working on it.
The solid and dotted lines on the chart represent various types of data network links between devices. If a link is drawn with a yellow highlight, that link is running at over 50% of its maximum capacity. If a link
is colored orange it is running at over 90% of its rated capacity and high traffic issues are probable. If a link has an X in the middle of it, that link is being reported as down by a router at the IU.
