  • Click on the Search button in your main menu.
  • Enter a word or part of a word in the keyword box.
  • Click on Submit.
  • This will give you a list of every video with the keyword in the video title, description, or key concept clip, every key concept containing it, and every multimedia clip related to it.

Search by subject (searches for videos only):

  • Click on the Search button in your main menu.
  • Select a subject from the "Subject" pull-down menu.
  • Click on Submit.
  • This will give you a list of every video available for that subject.
  • You can also narrow your search by selecting from the"Subject Focus" or "Grade."

Search for multimedia clips (photos and short movie clips):

  • Click on the Search button in your main menu.
  • Select a category from the "Media Clips" pull-down menu.
  • Click on Submit.
  • This will give you a list of all the Multimedia clips-both photos and movie clips-in that category.

Use the Correlations search to find videos and key concepts:

  • Click on the Correlations button on your main menu.
  • Click on National and State Standards and Correlations.
  • Click on your state.
  • Click on your subject.
  • Click on your grade.
  • On the list of standards, click on the Titles Only button to bring up the video titles that correlate to the standards and benchmarks you’ve selected.

To watch/stream a video:

  • Click on the Watch Video button on the video title page.
  • Wait while the embedded media player in the next screen loads and opens the video.
  • To go full screen, click on the Full Screen button below the player. (MAC users may need to click on the Launch External Player link, and then click on View and pull down to "Full Screen.")
  • Most programs provide Key Concept clips, which are specific segments of the video containing its most important ideas or teaching points. Click on the link in the table on the right side of the page, and the segment will load the player.

To download a video or key concept clip to your desktop:

Please note that not all accounts have download rights. If the button does not appear on your Video Title page, then your account does not allow the downloading of videos and key concepts.

  • Click on the Download Video button on the video title or video streaming page.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to download the entire video or the indexed Key Concept clip. (PC users: right click to start the download. MAC users: depress the command key and click to start the download.)
  • After the program has been downloaded, just double-click on the file to play it. (MAC users, however, must open it in the media player the first time they use it; after the first time, they only need to double-click.)

To take a quiz or test:

  • Click on the Quiz/Test button on the video title page or the Quiz link below the key concepts table on the Watch Video page.
  • Select "Self-study" or a name from the list of teachers set up for your school, and click on Continue.
  • Take the quiz.
  • If you selected a teacher’s name, the results will be emailed to that teacher.
