On Monday, March 30, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that due to COVID-19 response efforts, all schools in the commonwealth will be closed until further notice.  As a result, all Bucks County IU offices, programs, and services are now closed until further notice. Families who receive services from the Bucks IU will be contacted regarding plans to provide continuity of education through online or virtual platforms.

Responses to Right to Know requests will also be delayed until school offices open once again.

Prevention Services

Hand placed to prevent dominos from falling any further

Knowledge is Power

We provide educational training and programs designed for school administrators, teachers, and students that show them how to reverse trends and minimize the growth of negative behaviors. By collaborating with a wide variety of local, county, state, and national/federal organizations, we are able to stay abreast of the materials, information, funding, and support available, and then effectively disseminate that through our various programs and services.

Inhibiting the Unhealthy and Unsafe

Prevention Services provides the knowledge and information to help support creating safe environments that inhibit problems in areas related to:

  • Substance Abuse (alcohol, tobacco, drugs)
  • Bullying
  • Suicide
  • Violence

Encouraging the Good and Positive

We also work to support positive growth and development with programs and services that educate people about:

  • Tolerance and Acceptance
  • Healthy Youth Lifestyles

Implementing these programs, in order to achieve the greatest success, requires a balancing act to ensure integration and buy-in by all personnel. It would be our pleasure to speak with you regarding events and activities currently available, or we could work with you to provide support of Prevention Services for you and your team.
