Mathematical Instructional and Assessment Strategies that Promote Growth Mindset (for non-public educators only)

Dr. Jo Boaler, a leader in mathematical mindset research, has provided many strategies that can be implemented in the math classroom to foster a lifelong growth mindset. In this FREE one-hour virtual session, teachers will be introduced to instructional and assessment strategies that encourage a growth mindset, as well as will reflect on the power of praise and growth mindset norms in the classroom. Formative assessment strategies, from self-assessment to exit tickets, will be explored, as well as instructional strategies, such as modeling and creating visual representations. The workshop will feature a live presentation, with time at the end for Q&A.

THIS SESSION IS ONLY OPEN TO NONPUBLIC SCHOOLS THAT RESIDE WITHIN THE FOLLOWING LEAs: Bensalem Township, Bristol Borough, Central Bucks, Council Rock, Morrisville, Neshaminy, Pennridge, Pennsbury, and Quakertown.
