Active and Engaging Strategies for the Inclusive Classroom

This 3 credit (90 Act 48 Hours) online course is designed to focus explicitly on inclusive classrooms and provides unique suggestions for meeting the needs of students with disabilities, including those with learning, cognitive, and sensory differences.Time Frame: 07/13/2022 - 08/10/2022

This course contains hundreds of familiar novel activities that all teachers can access; and illustrates ways all students can participate in them.

Participants will need to purchase and read the book "Joyful Learning-Active and Collaborative learning in Inclusive Classrooms" by Paula Kluth and Alice Udvari-Solner. This book will present a range of strategies that can be used at both the elementary and secondary levels to engage students in discussion, debate, creative thinking, questioning and teamwork. Providing classroom -tested examples, specific guidelines and reproducibles.
