ADHD in Education

This is a 3 credit (90 Act 48 Hours) online course offered through a partnership with Immaculata University. At registration course participants have the option to add Immaculata University graduate credit to the course (read additional details below).Time Frame: 09/28/2022 - 10/19/2022
With more & more students being diagnosed with ADHD, it is important for educators to examine their perceptions & expand their knowledge base of this disability category in order to meet these students' needs.
With more and more students being diagnosed with ADHD, it is important for educators to examine their perceptions and expand their knowledge base of this disability category in order to meet these students' needs. Throughout the course, participants will explore the debate surrounding medication and the myths associated with ADHD. Furthermore, they will complete activities providing them with first-hand experience about what it is like to live with ADHD. With the information covered in the course, participants will take away practical strategies to implement across all school environments.
An email will be sent a few days before the start date with information on how you will participate in this event.
*The cost of the graduate credit is $600 ($200 per credit) in addition to the base fee for the course. Once the course starts the decision to add (or not) Immaculata credit is final. At the successful conclusion of the course students will receive a transcript from Immaculata University.
