With more & more students being diagnosed with ADHD, it is important for educators to examine their perceptions & expand their knowledge base of this disability category in order to meet these students' needs. Time Frame: 3/17/2021 - 4/7/2021
Given current research related to ADHD & best practices in working with students with such diagnosis, participants will be able to analyze social behaviors students exhibit by developing at least 3 lessons, & at least 2 action plans to implement an enhanced program within a classroom setting and will be able to develop and implement sample IEPs for students with ADHD by writing about at least 3 current legal case studies, with at least 3 personal reactions to each case, & at least 3 impacts to the field of education. Participants will also be able to design a classroom management plan with at least 5 positive behavior supports, at least 3 ways in which student independence can be enhanced, & at least 3 ways in which support personnel are valued in the process.
