On Monday, March 30, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that due to COVID-19 response efforts, all schools in the commonwealth will be closed until further notice.  As a result, all Bucks County IU offices, programs, and services are now closed until further notice. Families who receive services from the Bucks IU will be contacted regarding plans to provide continuity of education through online or virtual platforms.

Responses to Right to Know requests will also be delayed until school offices open once again.

Developing and Empowering Students as Creative and Critical Thinkers

This 3 credit (90 Act 48 Hours) online course takes a deeper look into creative and critical thinking and the importance of promoting both to ensure student success and college and career readiness. Time Frame: 7/6/2020 - 7/28/2020

It offers new and veteran teachers detailed information and practical strategies to effectively begin or enhance classroom instruction that will develop a classroom of creative and critical thinkers. The course focuses on increasing student achievement and learning outcomes through; understanding the foundations of thinking skills and learning theories, creating a learning environment for creative and critical thinking, analyzing how to develop critical thinkers, and exploring strategies and tools to assist educators in promoting and developing students as creative and critical thinkers, as well as problem solvers.
