Autism Spectrum Disorders Endorsement Program

In partnership with the Bucks IU, Wilson College is starting two new cohorts.  The courses being provided will offer a blended format of face-to-face meetings and online assignments every other week, and they satisfy all Instructional Level II and Act 48 requirements.   

  • Date: Classes begin the week of August 26, 2019 and run through December 13, 2019 
  • Time: Each cohort will determine day of the week and time
  • Place: Bucks County (Bucks IU facilities in Doylestown or Perkasie)
  • Cost: Tuition is $1500 per course
  • Credits: 3
  • Act 48 Credits: Register with your PPID number in the designated field and Wilson College will report your Act 48 hours when the course is completed/final grade posted

As the number of people diagnosed with ASD continues to rise, demand for teachers and others with some training in the field is also growing. Whether for teachers or others working with people with autism, completing the autism endorsement curriculum will add to their skill set and give them an edge in employment opportunities.

This course will explore the characteristics of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout their life span. Students will also explore key theories and scientific hypothesis regarding the etiology of ASD.
