Bucks County Career Pathways Partnership - Key Communicator Training #2

In Pennsylvania, many young people are struggling to make successful transitions to postsecondary education and to careers, and many employers are having difficulty finding workers with strong employability skills and in-demand technical skills. To address these challenges, schools and employers have come together to form the Bucks County Career Pathways Partnership (BCCPP). Members of the BCCPP are collaboratively exploring strategies intended to provide learners with the preparation needed to enter and thrive in today's workforce.

The BCCPP Executive Committee has asked school district leaders to identify K-12 representatives to participate in information and training sessions on September 25, 2019 and October 30, 2019. In addition to teams from local school districts, business and community organizations representatives will be in attendance.

The Key Communicator Trainings are designed to help teachers, counselors, and school leaders understand and implement strategies in their classrooms, buildings, and school districts, school systems related to career readiness for all students. Specifically, the sessions will help K-12 educators better understand the implications of workforce trends for education, learn how to implement the Pennsylvania Career Education and Work Standards and meet the Future Ready PA Index Career Readiness Indicators, strengthen employer and community partnerships to support career education, and examine strategies and best practices in career readiness.
