CMU Computer Science Academy CS1 Train the Teacher

In this 2-day, 12-hour workshop, secondary educators will be introduced to the Carnegie Melon University's FREE CS Academy coding program. Educators will discuss and reflect upon cultural responsiveness in computer science, collaboration in a CS classroom, and inspiring student creativity through coding. This program is designed as an entry-point for students into python coding and contains over 120 hours of instruction through graphics and animations.
Participants will engage with the CMU CS Academy program to lay the groundwork for basic python coding.
