Board of School Directors Meeting

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Bucks IU Board of School Directors will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 7:00 pm.  Per the Bucks IU Health and Safety plan in response to COVID-19, the meeting will be held virtually and is open to the public.

Introduction to STEAM Education

STEM ENDORSEMENT COURSE 1: INTRODUCTION TO STEAM EDUCATION

This course will provide educators with a strong foundation in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Education, introducing students to each of the STEAM disciplines and their corresponding academic standards.

This course is one of four courses that was mutually developed by the Bucks IU and Delaware Valley University and comprise the Bucks IU's STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) Approach to the PDE STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Endorsement.

Participants will:
develop an understanding of each letter of the STEAM acronym
create and present a 'Fixer Upper' lesson by converting a traditional science, math, or art lesson into a STEAM lesson
develop a lesson that includes integrated STEAM learning
