REGARDING THE JANUARY 19, 2021 MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Bucks IU Board of School Directors will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 7:00 pm.  Prior to the Board Meeting, there will be a Finance Committee Meeting at 6:30 PM. Per the Bucks IU Health and Safety plan in response to COVID-19, the meetings will be held virtually and are open to the public.

Overview of Defined Learning

All Bucks County public elementary schools have teacher and student access to Defined Learning.

This virtual synchronous professional learning experience will begin with an introduction to Defined Learning and connections with authentic, Project Based Learning (PBL) for teachers and students.

The facilitator will actively engage participants in an overview of the platform including standards-based content, navigation, and customization of performance tasks. Each participant will select a performance task that aligns with student learning goals for their classroom and learn how to adjust aspects of it based upon student needs. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of how to use tasks in their specific learning environments and one task ready to assign to students.

The session link will be sent out to registered participants.

Participants should be able to log in to Defined Learning to effectively participate in this learning experience. Please contact your district technology department for assistance in accessing this tool.
