Early Childhood PBIS Pyramid Model Practices Block 2: Webinars 4 to 8

This webinar series focuses on the Teaching Pyramid, which is the framework for practices used in the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Webinars Four through Eight. These webinars provide comprehensive information about the universal Pyramid Model practices that focus on designing high quality supportive environments. Research has shown us that how we, as the adults, structure our classrooms, establish schedules and routines, facilitate transitions, establish rules, and promote the engagement of children makes a profound difference in preventing challenging behaviors, and promoting social-emotional development.

The following practices are addressed in these webinars:

Webinar 4: Schedules and Routines

Webinar 5: Classroom Design

Webinar 6: Promoting Engagement during Activities

Webinar 7: Transitions

Webinar 8: Expectations and Rules

Format: There are activities interspersed throughout the series, so please download handouts that accompany the various webinars. The webinars were designed to be completed in small groups, so, if possible, please watch each webinar with at least one other colleague. Following viewing of the webinars, at various points, you will need to write an action/goal statement that you will later place into an evaluation form to document your participation in the webinars so that you are able to receive credit. These action plans are also designed to help you to determine how you will use the information gained in each webinar.

Completion: After viewing the webinars and completing the accompanying activities, please log back into MyLearningPlan to complete the respective evaluation for each block. You may want to print the evaluation templates below and complete the evaluation questions while working through the content. All evaluation content will need to be typed into the online evaluation form found in MyLearningPlan.
