ParaEd: PBIS and SEL: The Intersection of Behavior and Social Emotional Learning

In this session, participants will define common terminology in PBIS and SEL frameworks, analyze the overlap and uniqueness of each framework, and how these areas overlap for ease of use in schools and classrooms.

SYNCHRONOUS: Content will be presented through a live Zoom meeting. Please create a Zoom account with your full first and last name in advance and make sure your software is up to date. Participants will receive an email from the presenter with the Zoom link at least 24 hours in advance. This communication will be sent to the email address associated with your MLP/Frontline account. In order to receive credit for participation, your Zoom name needs to be complete and accurate (you may need to rename at the start of the meeting, in place of using a phone number) and you will need to complete a Google Exit Ticket.

I will be able to define social emotional behavioral wellness (SEB).
I will identify strategies I can implement in class that build behavior and social/emotional competencies.
I will compare and contrast the overlap of behavioral and social/emotional frameworks.
