See the Sounds: Visual Phonics

See The Sound - Visual Phonics is a system of 52 unique hand cues and symbols that represent the sounds of English, without the ambiguity of English orthography, that can be used to support reading, spelling, speech, language, and vocabulary. Visual Phonics can be utilized in a variety of settings included, but not limited to: general education, special education, bilingual education, deaf education, adult literacy, speech therapy, and auditory training. During this two day training, participants will be introduced to the Visual Phonics system, learn about research supporting the success of Visual Phonics implementation for decoding and developing literacy skills, will learn all of the 52 unique hand shapes, and be provided with opportunities for hands-on practice and application of how to use Visual Phonics in their everyday work with students, both in person and virtually.
